What Is Eco-Action 21?
Eco-Action 21 is a certification and registration program based on environmental management system guidelines issued by the Ministry of the Environment in Japan. These guidelines were created to support SMEs, schools, and public institutions in properly carrying out environmental initiatives. These initiatives include setting up, operating, and maintaining systems for environmental management, setting environmental targets, carrying out initiatives, and evaluating and reporting the results. The Eco-Action 21 program is run by the Institute for Promoting Sustainable Societies.
